The advantage of this plier type Rivet Nut hand Tool from DMSeeleysTools USA is to get into smaller spots. This Riv Nut tool will work with steel rivet nuts however when installing the larger size nuts, you may find it advantageous to use softer aluminum Rivet Nuts because of your lack of leverage. We also sell the aluminum set that works best for this hand tool. It has five different size nose piece Mandrels replaceable from DMSeeleysTools USA. 6-32, 8-32, 10-24, 1/4-20 and 10/32s. Other rivet nut hand tools only have 4. The Rivet nut hand tool only requires access to one side of the work piece. The Riv Nut can be installed after painting or other final finishing operations. It's ideal for materials that can't be tapped or welded.

Note lower end Rivet Nut Tools often do not have replacements for broken Threaded Mandrels available. This rivet not tool does have replacement's including the Rivet Nut assortments.

APPLICATIONS-- You can use the Riv Nut hand tool for automobiles, electric home appliances, electronics, building and construction. works like a rivet but has a threaded center. It's like putting a nut on the other side when only one side of the material is accessible. This also works well for stripped holes as an insert.

Description:

Applies threaded inserts into thin metal, plastic or fiberglass. Insert tool comes with 5 threaded mandrels and nosepieces to set the following thread sizes:6-32, 8-32, 10-24, 10-32, 1/4-20. Drill hole into material. Screw on threaded insert on tool. Squeeze handle until insert is set. Turn knob counterclockwise until released. Inserts sold separately.

INSTRUCTIONS
1.Select the Quik Thread Rivet size that you wish to use: 6-32, 8-32, 10-24, 10-32 or 1/4-20. With tool handle open, screw on corresponding color threaded mandrel (turn counterclockwise) and tighten with tool

2.With tool handle open, screw corresponding color nosepiece onto tool and tighten (turn counterclockwise).

3. With tool handle open, screw threaded rivet onto threaded mandrel and tighten until threaded rivet head makes contact with nosepiece. 4. Drill recommended hole size (See chart below).

5. Insert threaded rivet into hole. 6. Squeeze tool handle to set threaded rivet. Rivet is set when expanded and snug in hole. Caution: Threads will become damaged if set with too much force. 7. Using tool knob, unscrew tool from threaded rivet.

8. Threaded rivet is now ready to accept screw (sold separately).
